Kevin Insley

Gold Squad Coach

Bio

Kevin has been a competitive swimmer for most of his life, initially in the pool and now more so in open water. With the passage of time he is now, much to his chagrin, referred to as a “veteran swimmer”.

Kevin swam competitively for Harrow & Wealdstone Swimming Club and then the City of Cardiff in the UK and was a national finalist in Breaststroke and IM events. He also swam for Barnet Copthall Masters and was GB Masters Champion in 100 IM. During the time he was swimming competitively in the UK, Kevin trained under two GB Olympic coaches.

Since moving to Bermuda in 1991 Kevin has been a keen open water swimmer and has won the Round the Sound 10k swim on several occasions.

Kevin has coached swimmers of all ages at different times and enjoys applying the knowledge he has built up over his many years in swimming.
