Harbour coaches Shona Palmer, Kris Cash, Belinda Morrison and Caroline Black attended the clinic in Napa, California from January 9th-11th. A range of topics were covered from 10 and under age group planning, training and management through to preparing swimmers from club to college and on to elite success.
Bob Bowman, longtime coach of Michael Phelps and coach of multiple other World Champions and Olympic medalists presented outstanding sessions. The current University of Texas coach shared his knowledge and experiences during sessions on IM training and Coaching Essentials which were invaluable.
Technique and technique analysis sessions presented by Russell Mark were also major highlights of the clinic. Russell is a worldwide leader in technique analysis who has worked with numerous Olympic Champions as well as multiple top US teams and pro teams around the world. His passion for improving the technical aspect of the sport was clearly evident.
The three day course delivered invaluable content for Harbour coaches as they continue to develop and strengthen their coaching skills to assist Bermuda’s swimmers achieve their personal goals.
